These Terms of Service explain the rules that apply when you use IPW.PET or buy from us. Please read them before placing an order.

1. About us

IPW.PET is operated by IPW DISTRIBUTION LIMITED, trading as IPW.PET, an Irish company registered under company number 804685 and VAT number IE4551279NH.

Our ecommerce store is hosted using Shopify. Shopify provides the online platform and related infrastructure through which we present and sell products.

2. Scope of these Terms

These Terms apply to use of IPW.PET and to Retail purchases made through the storefront. If you buy mainly for purposes outside your trade, business, craft or profession, you are a Consumer Customer for these Terms. Nothing here limits a Consumer Customer’s mandatory rights under Irish or other applicable consumer law.

Purchases made through an approved Trade account are business-to-business transactions. Applicable Trade terms, Shopify Catalog terms, quantity rules, quotation or invoice terms, and other B2B conditions communicated to the approved company may also apply. Statutory consumer protections do not automatically apply to business purchases. If these Terms and a specifically agreed Trade term conflict for a Trade order, the specifically agreed Trade term applies to that order to the extent permitted by law.

3. Website use

You may use the site for lawful browsing, account management and purchasing. You must not use it to commit fraud or another unlawful act; introduce malicious code; interfere with security, availability or other users; attempt unauthorised access; scrape or reproduce site content for unauthorised commercial use; or infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights. Reasonable automated access needed for public search indexing is not prohibited by this clause.

4. Product information

We take reasonable care to present descriptions, sizing, specifications, imagery, colour and availability accurately. Product packaging, minor specifications and colours may change, and screens and devices can reproduce colour differently. Images may include contextual items that are not part of the product; the product description identifies what is supplied.

Manufacturer sizing and fit information is guidance. Please measure carefully and select an appropriate size for the animal and intended use. Contact us before ordering if you need help. Nothing in this section excludes our responsibilities for product safety or for goods that do not conform to the contract.

5. Prices and VAT

Retail prices shown to Irish consumers are inclusive of VAT where applicable unless the storefront clearly states otherwise. Delivery charges and the final total are displayed separately before an order is confirmed. Approved Trade prices may be shown or communicated exclusive of VAT where clearly identified; applicable VAT and the final amount are shown in the authenticated Trade checkout or relevant invoice context.

Prices can change for future orders. A price already accepted as part of a concluded order will not be changed except where the law permits correction of a genuine and obvious error and the order is cancelled and refunded.

6. Orders and contract formation

Putting an item in your cart does not reserve it or create a contract. You make an offer to buy when you submit an order through checkout. An automated acknowledgement confirms receipt but does not necessarily mean the order has been accepted. The contract is formed when we accept and process the order, normally when we confirm fulfilment or dispatch, subject to applicable consumer law.

We may decline or cancel an order if stock is genuinely unavailable, a price or product record contains an obvious error, payment is not authorised, fraud or misuse is reasonably suspected, or we cannot lawfully supply the order. If we cancel after payment, we will return the amount due without undue delay using the original payment route where possible. We will not use this right to remove a mandatory consumer remedy.

7. Payment

Available payment methods are those displayed at checkout. Payment services are processed through Shopify Payments and/or any other payment provider identified at checkout when enabled. IPW.PET does not normally receive or store your complete payment-card credentials. Payment providers process those details under their own security and privacy terms.

8. Delivery

Available delivery options, prices and estimated timings are shown at checkout and on our canonical Delivery & Returns page. Estimates are not guaranteed delivery dates unless we expressly agree a binding date. We will notify you if a material delay becomes known and will respect any cancellation or refund right that applies.

9. Consumer right to cancel online purchases

For most eligible goods bought online, a Consumer Customer may tell us they wish to cancel within 14 days beginning on the day the goods are received. If one order is delivered in separate lots, the period normally begins when the last lot is received. You do not need to give a reason.

After notifying us, you normally have a further 14 days to send the goods back. You may use the optional online form on Delivery & Returns, or email trade@ipw.pet with an unequivocal statement that you are withdrawing. You do not have to give a reason or use a particular form.

10. Exceptions to change-of-mind cancellation

The statutory change-of-mind right does not apply where a legal exception applies, including goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised; goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly; and sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons after the seal has been broken. Other statutory exceptions apply only where relevant and lawful. We do not treat ordinary pet products as exempt merely because they are pet products. These exceptions do not remove remedies for faulty, unsafe, damaged or misdescribed goods.

11. Returns and refunds

For an ordinary statutory change-of-mind withdrawal, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods. We recommend using a tracked postal or courier service and retaining proof of sending. We bear appropriate return costs where required by law for qualifying faulty or non-conforming goods. Customers are responsible for taking reasonable care of returned goods. Products should only be handled to the extent reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. For pet wearables and equipment, customers are strongly requested to try products on indoors only; keep original packaging and tags; and avoid washing, outdoor use, pet hair contamination, odour, dirt, scratches, chewing, alteration or damage. Returned products should be sent back complete and, where reasonably possible, with their original packaging and tags. Missing packaging does not automatically remove the statutory right of withdrawal.

Where handling goes beyond what is reasonably necessary and causes diminished value, IPW.PET may make an appropriate deduction where permitted by law.

Where statutory withdrawal applies, we will refund the sums required by law within the applicable period. We may, where legally permitted, wait until we receive the goods or you supply evidence that they were sent back. If you selected delivery costing more than the least expensive standard delivery we offered, we are not required to refund the extra amount.

12. Faulty or non-conforming goods

If goods are faulty, damaged, unsafe, not as described, incorrectly supplied or otherwise do not conform to the contract, contact us with the order number and details of the issue. No artificial 24-hour or 48-hour reporting deadline applies. Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, remedies may include a short-term right to terminate and receive a refund, repair, replacement, a proportionate price reduction, or final termination and refund. A qualifying faulty-goods return is not treated as an ordinary change-of-mind return, and ordinary return-cost or condition rules do not remove statutory remedies. This does not affect your statutory rights.

13. Product availability

Availability can change before an order is accepted. Only IPW.PET’s Shopify inventory and the availability shown in the relevant order context are used to decide whether stock can be supplied; supplier website availability is not IPW.PET inventory. We do not promise stock that Shopify does not show as available.

14. Promotions and discounts

A promotion may have its own eligibility, dates, products, minimum spend, territory and redemption conditions. Those conditions will be communicated with the promotion. Unless stated otherwise, promotions cannot be combined. A promotion may be corrected, suspended or withdrawn for future orders where there is an error, abuse or legal need, but this does not remove a right already earned under a concluded consumer contract.

15. Customer accounts

You must provide accurate information and keep it reasonably current. Keep account credentials and verification codes confidential and notify us if you suspect unauthorised use. We may temporarily restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, misuse or a security risk. We will not ask you to send passwords, one-time codes or session credentials by email or chat.

16. Trade accounts

Trade access is granted only after manual approval by IPW.PET. Applicants and approved buyers must provide accurate company and contact information and use access only for the authorised business. Trade prices, Catalog conditions and other commercial terms may be confidential. Approval can be reviewed or withdrawn for future orders where account eligibility, security, payment or contractual requirements are not met. No wording on the public storefront exposes or replaces the Trade price applicable in an approved Company and Catalog context.

17. Intellectual property

IPW.PET branding, original site content, layout, photography, graphics, copy and editorial material are protected by intellectual-property law and belong to IPW DISTRIBUTION LIMITED or its licensors unless stated otherwise. Third-party brand names, trademarks, logos, photography and product materials remain the property of their respective rights holders. Normal browsing and purchasing do not grant a licence to reproduce or commercially reuse protected material. See Image Rights.

18. Reviews and user content

If you submit a review, image or other content, it must be honest, lawful, relevant, non-defamatory and non-infringing, and must not disclose another person’s private information. You retain ownership of your content. You give IPW.PET a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce and format it only as reasonably necessary to operate, promote and archive the review or service. We may moderate, reject or remove content for legal, safety, relevance or authenticity reasons.

19. Third-party links and services

The site may link to brand, payment, delivery, social or other third-party services. Their own terms and privacy information may apply when you use them. We are not responsible for an independent third party’s acts outside our control, but this does not exclude responsibility that Irish or EU law places on IPW.PET for the products, contract or processors we use.

20. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits statutory consumer rights; liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where it cannot lawfully be excluded; or any other liability or mandatory protection that the law does not allow us to exclude or limit.

For Trade customers only, and to the extent permitted by law and any specific written Trade agreement, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential business loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made. This paragraph does not apply where a mandatory rule requires otherwise.

Our Privacy & Cookie Statements explain how personal data, cookies and consent choices are handled.

22. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms for future use of the site and future orders, for example to reflect legal, service or operational changes. The date above shows the current version. A later version does not automatically rewrite a consumer contract already concluded unless the law or an agreed contract permits that change.

23. Governing law and disputes

These Terms and contracts with IPW.PET are governed by Irish law. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the EU or EEA, this choice does not remove mandatory protections available under the law that applies to you. The courts with jurisdiction under applicable law may hear disputes.

Contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern. Irish consumers can obtain independent information from the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission. We do not state that IPW.PET is bound to participate in a particular alternative-dispute-resolution body unless separately confirmed. The discontinued EU Online Dispute Resolution platform is not used.
