I've tried a bunch of life vests for my dog who has a deep v chest but otherwise a med sized, Husky Shepard Lab cross. Hes 45lbs and a slim, muscular build. We got the Med because of his deep v chest. I have it tightened up, which was easy and it fits perfectly. Most I tried had velcro under the tummy and neck which was awkward, bulky and cumbersome. This slips over his head and buckles up, no bulk. The buckles are covered so no rubbing!! My guy is a fearful rescue so we are still at the wearing it around the yard stage 😀, but we will get to the water soon! Just wanted to praise the fit Annd comfort level of these.
Great product. Both my labs wear them. While they probably are strong enough swimmers to not to need the vests, it gives good peace of mind that if they want to swim across the lake they’ll be safe. Vests dry relatively quickly and haven’t mildewed.
We absolutely LOVE this dog life jacket! We recently took our one-year-old Bernedoodle to Lake Tahoe for some water fun, and it was his very first time swimming! 🐶💦
He’s usually a little timid and was pretty nervous at first, but this life jacket gave him amazing support and helped him feel much more confident in the water. Before long, he was happily jumping back in and trying to swim over and over again. He had an absolute blast! 🥰🌊
We also had him wear a Rufflewear waterproof and warm layer underneath, and my husband was really impressed with how well it kept him dry. We’re so happy with both products and will definitely be trying more products from this brand for our little guy! ❤️🐾
Great fit. Use the guide online to size. Our dogs love wearing these and they do a great job keeping them afloat.
The quality is superb - you thought of everything. All three of my dogs have one and do not seem bothered by it while swimming.
I got extra small and it’s too heavy for her. I can adjust it to fit her but it’s too heavy for her size. If she fell in the pool she would flip over. They are great vests for larger dogs. I have them for my full grown Shepherd but this definitely won’t work for my puppy until she is about 6 months old and can handle the weight.
Fits well, a little hard to adjust other than that a great purchase for my boys first summer!
